Project Manager Initiated Compensation Events
A Project Manager's instruction is created if as a result of the risk reduction meeting, the Project Manager and Contractor determine that mitigating actions are required.
The following Project Manager initiated communications related to compensation events may be recorded in AssetWise CONNECT Edition:
- PMICE - Project Manager's Instruction/Compensation Event Notification
- PMNCE - Project Manager's Compensation Event Notification
- PMRN - Project Manager's Reply to a Contractor's Compensation Event Notification
- PMIQ - Project Manager's Instruction to Submit Quotations
- PMRQ - Project Manager's Reply to Quotation
- PMA - Project Manager's Assessment Notification
- PMPI - Proposed Instruction or Proposed Change Decision Notification
- EXT - Extension of Period for Response Notification
- ICE - Project Manager's Implemented Compensation Event Notification
For example, a Project Manager can issue an instruction, giving rise to a compensation event, using the Project Manager's Instruction/Compensation Event Notification (PMICE), and at the same time, issues a Project Manager's Compensation Event Notification (PMNCE). If a quotation has already been submitted, the Project Manager formalizes the Implementation of Compensation Event (ICE), based on the accepted quotation. Otherwise, if a quotation has not yet been submitted, the Project Manager issues an instruction to submit a quotation or revised quotation via the Project Manager's Instruction to Submit Quotations (PMIQ) form.
